When I read a book that isn't a 'Romance' per se, I will enjoy it more if there is some romantic element in it, or where I feel a strong emotional connection to the story and characters.

I'm a guitar player moving into the bass world. I play original music in the vein of Social Distortion. I've been playing lots of bass rigs looking for an affordable setup for myself. I need to keep it under a grand. Currently at the top of my list is a 1985 G&L SB-1 and a 1991 Ampeg SVT-15T. The bass is $400 and the amp is $300. The bass is black with an all maple neck and sexy as all get out.

Both are in minty condition. I can't find hardly any info on the amp. It's a combo (I guess 100 watt?) with a 15' EV speaker.

It sounds awesome, just the tone I'm looking for. Volume I'm not sure about, it's hard to tell in the music store. I got the master up to 7 before they freaked out on me. At that volume it sounded good and clear and was shaking the walls in the small store. Can I gig with this thing?

Does anyone have any info on this guy?
