Residential Services While most residential services are provided through our affiliate, SEMCOA, Inc., High Point Treatment Center also offers residential services. In the residential stabilization component of CAP, staff experienced in substance abuse/addiction and mental health care will provide a highly structured pro-recovery environment, including daily group and individual treatment, post-discharge planning, and wellness activities. While not a locked program, the program is staff secure and clients go into the community only for medical appointments or required court appearances. Clients are not able to work as the program day is structured and intensive- usually from 9 a.m. Groups include, but are not limited to addiction and recovery education, wellness planning, vocational skills and support, trauma, and gender-specific topics, such as establishing healthy relationships and continuing care in recovery (post-discharge issues).

The purpose of the program is to bridge the gap between detoxification and stepdown services to residential aftercare. This goal is accomplished by creating a safe, supportive, substance-free environment that enhances and promotes the participant's recovery while awaiting placement in residential or sober housing.

Referrals are accepted from Department of Public Health funded detoxification programs and shelters located in Southeastern Massachusetts. Target populations include the homeless, those new to treatment, as well as those who have long-standing histories of substance use disorders and criminal justice involvement. While in TSS, residents engage in the development of an Individual Service Plan that supports their overall health and well-being. Case management services are provided and include service planning, goal development and family unification.

Referrals will be facilitated for residents requiring physical and mental health care, assistance with legal issues, sober housing, residential treatment, and vocational and educational needs. Residents attend psycho-educational groups and lectures that focus on such topics like relapse prevention, relationships, HIV awareness, domestic violence, nutrition, self-help, men's and women's recovery issues, and other topics related to developing a lifestyle that is conducive to continued recovery. Residents also attend daily in-house commitment (AA/NA) groups.

Plymouth Campus Patients receive treatment for their addiction and/or mental health issues in a peaceful setting. Services include Dual Diagnosis Unit, Detoxification Unit, and Clinical Stabilization Services at the Pathway Inn and Recovery Inn. Outpatient Services are also available at this site. Individualized care is provided by an interdisciplinary treatment team of professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, licensed social workers, and licensed mental health and substance abuse clinicians.

An enhanced treatment plan is developed with the active participation of both patient and primary counselor. Family involvement and family sessions are also encouraged as part of the patient’s Individualized Treatment Plan. Clients on methadone maintenance may detox from other addiction drugs while continuing methadone therapy. Patients also attend daily in-house commitment (AA/NA) groups. Clinical Stabilization Services Clinical Stabilization Services is a 24-hour rehabilitation program that incorporates individual and group counseling, 12-Step education and other psycho-educational groups, lectures, and opioid overdose prevention workshops focusing on relapse prevention and coping skills. An enhanced treatment plan is developed with active participation from the treatment team and client. Family participation is encouraged.
