The previous key locks frequently didn’t work when there was sleet and freezing temperatures. So far they’ve worked great.
They are sturdy and have worked perfectly in all types of weather, including sleet and bitter below 0 cold. I would buy them again and recommend the lock highly. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction. This post was.
Flag for removal. The lock and company service are top notch. M210-EZ was easy to install and recode. I installed four locks to defeat bump key access to the house. Two EZ plates were not drilled correctly, the company was easy to work with and sent replacements via expedited mail. I have a drill press and countersinked the defective plates in the interim.
Some web articles incorrectly advise no more than four digit codes, run the math and you will find five digits provides the most combinations. Highly recommend. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction. This post was.

With all the news of hackers breaking into network connected devices, I wanted to get a ‘low tech’ non connected device I could understand and trust. This lock fit what we were looking for and GoKeyless had the best price. I ordered the EZ installation option and the package was missing a brass stabilizer pin. GoKeyless service responded quickly and worked with the manufacturer to get out the missing part.
I was very pleased. Now that the lock is installed, my daughter is able to work the lock easily and we don’t have to worry about losing keys. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction. This post was. Flag for removal.
By far the best security purchases I ever made and I have made many where locks are concerned. Also turned out to provide an unexpected perk.
Living in a very rural ranch area of Montana we leave the house to work around the house and shops all the time. Now we can do so without having to take any keys with us that can and have in the past wound up lost. I intend to add these locks to all of my outbuilding doors this year.

I can even have both hands full and still open my door. No more fishing in my pockets and fumbling for my keys. Problems always occur with my lock during the winter. I have installed at least a dozen in the last twenty years.
I am really hoping your lock makes the difference. Please write me back in March and I will give you an update. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction. This post was. Flag for removal.
I rarely give customer feedback’ but I am pleased to share my experience with your company. I began my first purchase by ordering an inappropriate lock. Returning it was no problem. Your staff was then helpful friendly and knowledgeable in assisting me in ordering the correct locks. I am very satisfied with the product and the help your people gave me.

So, I will share my opinions and their comments as well. I think the lock is very nice in appearance and easy to work with, install, and “program”. The only difficulty I had with installation is that the surface area of the lock was much smaller than expected and I had to rebuild the door in order to close the gaps left by the removal of the previous electronic keypad lock. The provided rubber pad covered most of the opening, but providing (or recommending for purchase on your website) some sort of simple plate that matches the finish of the lock to be used to compensate for oversized holes would be a good idea. Also, the fact that the number combination can be entered in any order to open the lock limits the variety of available combinations, which makes breaking the code easier. In other words, if you want the combination to be 3-4-1-2, the lock would open if someone entered 1-2-3-4 or any ordering thereof. From the standpoint of the elderly couple, the numbers and letters on the buttons as well as the buttons themselves are kind of small and difficult to read.
That could be in part due to the antique brass finish that was selected, but creating easier to read, slightly larger buttons for elderly customers would not be a bad idea. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post?

However’ based on our previous experience’ we have absolutely no doubt that we will be completely satisfied. We installed the same model lock (purchased thru you) on another property that we have and it has worked perfectly and made our life easier and more secure. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? One thing I did not account for and am disappointed I did not think of at the time is that one of the locks is on a door which has a window on it. I should have chosen a lock which required the entry of a code on each side of the lock. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post?

Installation is no more difficult than any ordinary deadbolt. The great thing about these locks is their simplicity’ dependability and cost. But i wonder how difficult it would be to incorporate a backlighted keypad to help see the numbers and letters when unlocking the deadbolt in dark situations.
I keep a wall hung flashlight next to the door to help me unlock the door. Simpler is usually better. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction.
This post was. Flag for removal. OK’ I had previously purchased the LockeyM210 and successfully installed them’ myself’ on our outside entrance doors. Someone had entered our house and helped themselves to some items that were not immediately missed. After much angst trying to figure out where our stuff had gone we surmised someone knew how to enter and exit our house without the keys and after close inspection found out our domicile was a piece-of-cake for a burglar. The Locks I purchased were perfect to foil anymore such occurrences and the way the lock is constructed there are no shiny or polished surfaces that a burglar could ascertain what the code is by our repeated use of it. And we change the combo about every year.
After our friends had a scare they asked about our locks and they wanted to try one and asked if I would install it for them. I looked at their door and it is a metal door so I purchased the Easy Install model’ about a week later they wanted two more to control all their outside entrance doors. So now we have two satisfied family’s enjoying your product. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know.

I ordered two M210 EZ Mount Deadbolts in Satin Chrome. The lock shows it was made in Japan. The locks are not light weight and must be taken off the door to change the combination. The locks come with a four digit PIN and the set allows one to increase the number of the PIN containing 1-5 digits. So you could have up to a five digit PIN/entry code. To change the PIN is not as difficult as I initially thought. There are warnings in the instructions that an improper procedure when changing the PIN may damage the lock and thus void the warranty.

You have to keep the manual deadbolt knob turned while you insert a small (1/4? X 1/2?) flat piece of metal into the back of the numbered button faceplate. If you don?t order the EZ Mount Lockey M210 but go with regular mount M210 the instructions call for drilling your door for a metal pin required for installation. But the EZ Mount simply installs like a regular deadbolt’ no drilling.
I like the locks. My first impressions were quality’ sturdily built and worth the money. The lock is bump proof and does not have a key bypass or requires batteries.

For me’ electronic door locks still have a keyed bypass that may be picked or bumped to gain entry. I prefer knowing that even with a lock pick you still cannot defeat the lock. Would I recommend this to a friend?

I think the kit it is a must’ so get both at the same time. I also added the additional number to make the lock harder to hack and that was very easy too using instructions that came with the lock. Installed in place of original deadbolt using existing holes.
Simple’ 20 minute job. Just take your time’ read and understand the directions before starting. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction.
This post was. Flag for removal. I purchased my GoKeyless lock to replace one which had been in use between 25 and 30 years and was beginning to malfunction. The new one is easier to use with the raised tab (old one had just a round knob) and the fewer and larger numbers make them easier to read. Originally’ the lock was intended for use by our school age children (no lost keys and never locked out) and it worked well for the whole family. My only disappointment was that the vertical hole spacing changed by about 1/2″ and required a new hole in my steel door and a plug for the old hole. ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post?

We ordered the easy installation add on and they really delivered. We previously had a battery powered one and had to return it because the batteries ran out so quickly.
I like that this lock is all mechanical. It is pretty small and does not look bad on the door either. Best of all we don?t have to carry a key and we feel secure! ( 0) ( 0) Something wrong with this post? Thanks for letting us know. If you can point us in the right direction. This post was.
Flag for removal. I’ve had my new lock installed for a while and I have to say I love it. I love how easy it is to unlock my apartment’ and yet the safety of not worrying that someone can easily bump the lock. I know that my door is still not ‘100’ percent unbreakable. I know that the jam is still a weak spot – but’ any breakins now will leave a sign. My old lock was designed to keep an honest man honest (and this world isn’t full of honest men).
I’ve been broken into’ and except for the things missing – there was no exterior sign to the door that someone came and went. (Old door with lots of past jam damage). Now – with my keyless model/ deadbolt – I feel safer. A reasonable price for security and sanity. Thank goodness!

Hi everybody, I'm new to this site so please bear with me. I recently installed a Garrison Keyless Entry Deadbolt Lock for the front door of my house. The lock works if I turn it manually, meaning if I use a key from the outside or the switch on the inside of the house. If I try to unlock the door using the code, it will try to turn but is unable to do so. It seems to be jammed in some sense.
The code I am using is 100% for sure working because I see a green light and it is in fact trying to turn. I can lock the door electronically however. Why can I only unlock the door manually and not electronically. It kinda defeats the whole purpose of a keyless entry lock if I have to use a key. By recently, I mean a few hours ago so I have not contacted the company yet.
If it is friction, how can I fix it? I don't think WD40 will do it.
There doesn't seem to be that much friction when I open it manually. Could be that the striker plate for the Deadbolt, is set in a way that the bolt catches on it, causing the motor to not push it all the way out. You are going to have to check to see if the bolt is catching on the Striker plate, and either file the edge to allow the bolt to pass through freely, or pull the plate, put Bondo in the hole, let the filler dry, then cut in a new hole for the bolt to go into. Hmm, i'll have to look into it then. On a warmer day though. It was really cold today. Froze my hands lol.
If it has been sub-freezing temps, it can cause issues also, if there is no Storm door, or the storm door leaks too much air, causing a thermal difference between it and the main door. I ended up just using a couple of files, from a set that I picked up at the local Harbor Freight. Took enough of the metal off of my Striker Plate, that the Dead bolt throws cleanly into the opening.
Unless they drill the hole in the jamb for the Dead bolt, you always end up doing it yourself, and usually it is not perfect. Also on another note, use 2 1/2' or 3' screws on the hinges and the striker plates. Makes it harder for someone to kick in the door.
