Posted : admin On 28.08.2019Re: 2011 Silverado Stock Radio USB question Apr 11 2011, 1:40am well the manual says it will support 700 folders, 8 folders deep and 65,535 files in.mp3 or.wma.
Revised: December 5, 2017 W-2 data must be created in either the Federal EFW2 format (see 4.) or the alternate CityTax Proprietary format (see 5.). W-2 forms cannot be submitted in PDF format.
Through the Withholding Tool: Data is to be submitted by clicking on the “UPLOAD” button at the bottom of the 2017 WW-3 form. By Mail: Data is to be submitted via either CD-ROM/DVD or 3 ½” diskettes created using an MS-DOS “double density” or “high density” format. The MS-DOS ASCII file must be named W2REPORT. The file name W2REPORT must be in the root directory. When filing using the SSA Specifications for Filing Forms W-2 Electronically for Tax Year 2017 (EFW2) format, no extension is to follow the file name. When using the alternate CityTax Proprietary format, a file extension of.csv must be attached to the file. A diskette must not contain more than one file named W2REPORT.
If more than one file of W-2 information is being submitted, each file must be named W2REPORT and each file must be placed on a separate CD-ROM or diskette. Federal EFW2 Format a. Transmitters of W-2 information for multiple employers can avoid creating a separate file and a separate diskette for each employer by using the EFW2 format. Review Appendix C, example 6 of EFW2, Page 83, to see how multiple employers can be combined into one file. Records Specifications are found in Section 4.0 (Page 16) of the EFW2 requirements. Diskette filing media requirements and data requirements can be found in the EFW2 requirements. PLEASE NOTE: Unlike the SSA, Walker requires record delimiters in your file:.
Each record must be followed immediately by a single record delimiter. Each record delimiter must consist of a carriage-return/line feed (CR/LF) and be placed immediately following character position 512. Typically, this is accomplished by pressing the 'Enter' key at the end of each record (i.e., after position 512). Do not place a record delimiter before the first record of the file.
Do not place record delimiters after a field within a record. Required and Optional Records: Include the RA, RE, RW, RO, RS, RT, RU and RF records when using the EFW2 format.
The employer records should include records pertaining to the City of Walker income tax only. The RS records should include local tax information for the City of Walker only. Important: Each employee can have only one RW and RS record in a file. For example, if you have withheld both resident and non-resident tax for an employee, you must combine this information into one RW and RS record. Files with more than one RW and RS record for the same social security number will be returned to you and refunds to your employees will be significantly delayed. The 7 characters of data in locations 298-304 of the RS record (Form W-2, Box 20) must be used to identify the City of Walker by placing the upper case letters MIWAL (preferred designation) and two blank characters or WALKER and one blank character or MI-WAL and one blank character. (Note-City identifier code used to be 10 characters in RS record locations 298-307.

Beginning in tax years 2017 the State of Michigan has issued specifications that require Detroit to be identified by code 170 in RS record locations 305-307.) The 11 characters of data in locations 320-330 of the RS record (Form W-2, Box 19) must include only Walker income tax withheld. RE − Employer Record (Required) This record should be the same as the record submitted to the Social Security Administration. Is there some particular formatting of an external USB drive that needs to be set up? Or is there a particular format the playlist (.m3u or.pls) file needs to be in for the OGM-1 to read the drive as a music source? I tried setting up a thumb drive with some tunes and it didn't read the files without me digging through the search menu, finding a music folder and selecting a song.
Then it would only play the songs in that band subfolder. I used MediaMonkey to send a playlist of music to the thumb drive (formatted as FAT32); the resulting file structure set up a playlist file on the root of the drive (.m3u), then set up a Music folder, and subfolders for each album from the various artists that I'd selected tracks from. When I plugged the USB drive in to the USB port on the dash (I've set up the media link to work with a USB hub and keep the dash-mounted USB port alive) and selected USB, the OGM1 did not find any music. I had to search, and the playlist file was not showing up at all.and I wasn't able to make the unit play anything other than the songs in each 'artist' subfolder'. I went back to the computer and re-formatted the drive, then placed all the tracks alone in the root of the drive. Again, the OGM1 wouldn't play any of the tracks (there's no playlist file this time).
Is there a particular file structure the OGM1 looks for? Is it simply a matter of using a different format for the playlist file (.pls vs.m3u)? Should I use MS Media Player to set up the usb drive? Thanks in advance folks! Gents, I searched for this and couldn't find anything. But does anybody else have any issues with losing favorites on in their truck?
I have a USB drive in the USB port in the console, with a bunch of music for me and some for my kids. But every so often, the favorites from the USB drive just disappear. The USB is still plugged and powered and working, but the favorites disappear. It seems to happen more often if I'd been listening to something off the drive, and shut off/restart the truck. But certainly not every time I shut the truck off. They never come back on their own, I just have to manually re-add them. I hate to be one of those guys who say this, but a $50K vehicle shouldn't have this type of thing happen.
I'm hoping it's operator error and I can fix it. I've been looking for a manageable way to get my playlists and songs from iTunes to a flash drive to play in Mylink (2017 LTZ). I've seen a few solutions out there that mostly revolve around editing the playlists files, but those are not practical for me as I can't copy over my entire music file to a flash drive.
My solution involves an Android phone or tablet (sorry iPhone users). Items needed: Android phone or tablet Synctunes app from Play Store (paid version) PC Flash drive Synctunes is an app I found to get my iTunes songs and playlists over to my Android phone easily.
I like iTunes for album and playlist management. The app has two components - one on the PC, one on the phone. On the PC, it connects to iTunes and reads the playlists. You choose the playlists you want to send to your phone and when you connect your phone, Synctunes will send over the playlists and the songs while maintaining the file structure of the songs (i.e. This makes it easy for me to play my iTunes playlists on my Android phone with the phone's built in music player.
I copied over about 15 playlists and 2500 songs. I then physically connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable and copy the songs to the PC. You can copy straight to the flash drive from the phone but it will likely be a longer process than copying from phone to PC, then PC to flash drive. In Synctunes, you can state whether you store music with the internal storage or external, if you have it. The actual location is not intuitive, so look at the storage address in the phone app. So I navigate the folders in the phone and copy all of the folders into a temp folder on the PC.
I then put the flash drive into the PC and copy over the contents of the temp folder to the flash drive. At the root (top) level of the flash drive you should see your playlist files and your Artists folders. You should not have a 'Music' or other similar top level folder. I put the flash drive in my truck and it took about 3-4 minutes for Mylink to read the file structure, but it's all there. All of my playlists and dozens of artist folders with hundreds of subfolders. I'm sure people have other solutions but this one worked well for me.
File Format Example
2017 LTZ with 8' MyLink. Periodically the truck fails to recognize USB devices when I start the truck, including USB flash drives and my phone via Android Auto. If I press the Media button, I see the phone via Bluetooth but I do not see the flash drive. It doesn't matter which USB port I use and the music was playing via the flash drive before I shut off the truck. The Projection button on the radio screen does not change to Android Auto as it would do under normal operation. This will likely be a warranty issue but if anyone's seen it beforehand so I can point the dealer in the right direction that would be helpful. This bears repeating: When using a USB stick for MP3s with Intellilink Infotainment, you must have a.jpg file on the stick for the voice command to search properly.
I had a SDRAM card in my 2014 and 2015s, did not see one in the 2017 I purchased. (Z71 SLE with Convenience pack) So I transferred all my MP3s onto a 32GB Micro USB and put that in a tiny USB adapter, plugged in glove box. Voice commands did not work, searched a bit and failed, remembered this. Normal quick format is OK, but the intellilink indexing needs a jpg file in with the MP3s to work with voice. (the onscreen works fine without, but that defeats the purpose). Recently Browsing 0 members.
